Description
Hole saws consist of a metal cylinder mounted on a centre pilot drill, which guides a drill bit to bore the hole. The shanks are generally 10mm in diameter. Our hole saws are suitable for use on 1 – 5 mm sheet metals as well as other materials including concrete sheeting, timber panels and plastics. They can be operated in a standard drill, drill press or lathe, and are often used in the building, construction and fabrication industry. With an all-in-one assembly, there is no flex between the shank and the teeth on the cutting edge, making our hole saws a must have for producing precision holes. That the ejection spring automatically removes slugs is another reason why hole saws will give you a great result.
TCT AND HSS HOLE SAWS
Our hole saws are available in Tungsten Carbide Tipped [TCT] or High-Speed Steel [HSS].
The HSS hole saws are constructed of cobalt steel and designed for sheet metals only. Our range includes dimensions from 20mm through to 100mm. These heavy-duty hole saws are the best way to cut large holes safely and efficiently.
The tungsten carbide tips of our TCT hole saws make them ideal for producing smooth, finished holes in concrete sheeting and metals, including stainless steel, and improved performance of chip removal. This range is available from 16mm to 60mm.
Depending on your project or construction, we also offer a pro series range from 15mm to 50mm. The pro series range consists of higher-grade tungsten carbide, larger teeth, a harder body structure and stronger centre pilot drill.
RECOMMENDATIONS
When it comes to TCT hole saws, we generally advise use of our standard series for light fabrication. Tradespersons or metal fabricators using tungsten carbide on a daily basis for drilling sheet metals, steel house frames, concrete sheets, plywood or aluminum, who are looking for a tool with great cutting speed and longevity, should choose our pro series.
For ease of use and to extend the life of our hole saws, we also recommend, and supply, drilling lubricant.
We know you won’t be disappointed with our hole saws as they are built for endurance and high performance.
